Holiday Break CrossFit Kids 5-10year


Warm Up: Passing Drill Game
Kids must pass the ball diagonally down the line. 
After they pass the ball off they must do 5 squats. The goal is to pass the ball up and down
the line as many times as possible in the given amount of time. 
If someone drops a ball the person that threw it and the person that drops it must do 2 burpees. The ball cannot be passed off to anyone not finished with their squats and/or burpees 3,2,1 GO!

WOD
5 min AMRAP: 
5 Wall Balls
5 Hand Release Push Ups
5 Sit Ups

Cash Out GAME:
Plank Wars, children will stay in a plank position following the coaches instructions. They may have one arm up, or one foot up but they may even have one foot AND one arm up. This requires them to balance, stabilize and a lot of core strength. Last man standing, wins!

The last 6 weeks...

During the last 6 weeks the CrossFit Teens class has been hitting CFU every Wednesday night!
They learned their press, push press, jerks, cleans, front squats and deadlifts! They did AWESOME!
I can't wait to get them back in the box!

It's a great time to start talking with your kiddos about nutrition. Today they asked me if I eat healthy all the time and if I drink protein shakes everyday. It's great that they have sparked an interest to ask me about that. Of course I told them that I do enjoy pizza now and again but most of the time I eat very healthy to keep be strong. Little bits of information about nutrition will go a long way and overtime they will learn what's good to eat, what's not so good to eat and how it will affect them.

The Kids will have a station of a set exercise to do before and after they limbo under the PVC
Each time they complete both stations the limbo stick will be lowered and their exercises per station will change

July 15th-Aug 23rd Teen/Pre-Teen Summer Program Begins!

Hello Parents!
I am very excited to get the Pre-Teens/Teens CrossFit Kids started up!
Our summer program will be Monday/Wed/Friday 3:30-4:15.
Please come a few minutes early to fill out a waiver for your child on the 1st day of class.
PLEASE let me know if someone else is going to be picking up your child from class, also PLEASE come inside when you pick up so that I can see that your child is actually leaving WITH YOU.

Baseline WOD

I will be testing and retesting the kids throughout the program, just like in our regular CFU classes we love to see our improvements and progress!

Here is how class will run:
1. Welcome. Learn the definition of WOD, AMRAP and a few CFU rules
2. Warm Up: line drills, broad jumps, l-sits
3. Skill Work: the SQUAT
4. WOD
5. Stretch and Give out homework (homework?! Whaaaaat?! Yup!! HOMEWORK!)

Because it doesn't seem that any of the younger children can come to a week day morning class I have changed the age groups.
Saturday morning's will be 6-10 year olds at 9am-9:45am July 20-Aug 24th 48$. Limit 12.

3:30-4:15pm during the week (days to be determined shortly)

7-11 year old CrossFit Unrivaled Kids Class Saturday Mornings 9am
-There will be a limit of 12 per class

4-6 year old CrossFit Unrivaled Kids Class
10:30 am during the week (days to be determined shortly)
-There will be a limit of 7 per class
-Children in this class must be able to listen and follow directions well
If they are an older three year old and great at following directions 
from a teacher, please contact me about enrolling.
